‘New World Order’ debuts October 25

Despite the fact that I’m holding off on Telltale’s Batman episodic adventure, I like to hear how things are coming along. It’s inevitable that I’ll get around to it, and the sooner the full season is out, the better. That sentiment also goes for The Odd Gentlemen’s still-in-development King’s Quest run, which I’ve struggled to not start. Episodic gaming can be a real patience-tester.

With Realm of Shadows and Children of Arkham wrapped, it’s nearly time for the third Batman episode, New World Order. That’ll drop on Tuesday, October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The summary sounds like a typical Telltale romp: “Penguin’s brutal attack broadcast on live TV has left Gotham City reeling. As Bruce and Batman, you’ll dig deeper into the web of intrigue surrounding the newly revealed Children of Arkham. Meanwhile, behind closed doors, the mysterious Selina Kyle reveals more of herself to Bruce. And in the aftermath of the attack, Bruce’s friend and Gotham’s new mayor, Harvey Dent, is a deeply changed man. Who can be trusted when the future of Bruce Wayne – and the Batman – could be determined by the flip of a coin?”

There’s no elegant way to incorporate this without it going overlooked, but speaking of the Penguin, y’all need to hear Danny DeVito recount this monkey-attack story from the set of Batman Returns.
