Puzzle & Dragons Z is still coming west, you know. When exactly? Dunno. Sometime. Eventually.

Following the unveiling of Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, many were beginning to wonder about the fate of GungHo’s other Nintendo 3DS role-playing game.

In 2013, GungHo boss Kazuki Morishita announced a localization for Puzzle & Dragons Z was in the works, though the company has remained quiet about it ever since. Speaking with the company over Twitter last week, one distraught fan goaded GungHo into confirming that, yes, a western release is still in the cards. No clue as to when that might happen, though.

Puzzle & Dragons Z released across Japan in December 2013. The 3DS role-playing game takes the dungeon crawling and puzzle elements of the original game and incorporates a more fleshed out world and story. As of July 2014, the title managed to ship over 1.5 million copies.

The mobile game has now been downloaded more than 41 million times worldwide.
