Square Enix is working with NTT Docomo and Ubitus Inc to bring online MMORPG Dragon Quest X to mobile platforms in Japan. This is more of a streaming application than a full port, using Ubitus’ cloud tech for online play. This means that you’ll see content of the mobile version matching that of its home counterparts.
NTT Docomo’s dGame platform will launch the service this winter for Android and iOS devices.
A press release says that they plan to use overlaid touchscreen controls for mobile devices (read: on-screen d-pad), and will support optional Bluetooth joystick support.
