If the new PGR4 trailer is any accurate representation of the final game, I just might join those two in harmony with a little squealing of my own. Titled “The snow in Nürburgring ,” the video shows how the white stuff on Nürburg, Germany’s famous race track will allow you to pull off all manner of slick drifting maneuvers to win the love of spectators and possibly score a date with that girl from your high school biology class. Well … at least one of those things.
That snow isn’t there just to look pretty and pee your name into. Driving physics and vehicle behavior are directly affected by the inclement weather, and should make for some very interesting action. In addition to “the ring”, you’ll get to haul booty through the streets of Quebec, St. Petersburg, and Shanghai, just to name a few of the ten courses available in the game. None of the others have been announced as of yet, but one thing they did clue us in on was some of the new cars we’ll be seeing this time around. Hit the jump to find out what they are.
Prepare to crash the following vehicles into walls and guard rails at high speeds until you figure out the whole racing in snow thing:
· 1967 Toyota 2000GT
· 1978 Lamborghini Countach LP400
· 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi
· 2004 BMW M5
· 2007 RUF RGT
· 2007 Lotus GT3RR
An Impreza? In the snow? I am so there.
