It’s about oni slaying, not rice balls, by the way
Onigiri is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One across North America and Europe in early 2015, developer CyberStep confirmed with Windows Central.
The free-to-play MMORPG draws inspiration from Japanese mythology, tasking players with slaying hordes of demonic youkai and saving the world from an ancient evil.
CyberStep released Onigiri in Japan this January, and planned to put out a localization on PS4 this summer. That obviously didn’t happen, though. Just like every other game under the sun, it’s been delayed to next year. If you’re curious to check it out before then, an English version is currently available on PC and you can find the Japanese iterations on PSN and Xbox Live.
As a side note, it appears Xbox boss Phil Spencer was right. There will indeed be JRPGs on Xbox One. MMOs count, right?
