Can’t beat that
EA’s pretty keen on its Battlefield franchise, and wants to make sure you’re as geared-up as possible for Battlefield 4. The best way to do this is probably to ensure that players are still playing lots of Battlefield 3. And presto! Free DLC all up in your business!
For the week of E3 (now, for anyone that’s reading this and somehow doesn’t know that), Battlefield 3‘s “Close Quarters” will be available for free on all platforms. There are a few other perks for Premium subscribers — a weeklong double XP event and an exclusive dog tag.
This promotion comes as a “celebration” of the announcement of the revamped multiplayer system in Battlefield 4. 64 player multiplayer sounds good for later, but free DLC sounds good now.
