THIS BATTLE IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE
Late last year, Chris reported on the development of a re-release of the fighting game crossover classic Capcom vs. SNK 2, briefly reminiscing on his tourney days and looking forward to revisit a game so close to his, and indeed many others’ hearts.
Well, over at Capcom Unity, a member randomly brought up the game to Capcom’s Christian Svensson and he stated that currently the game is scheduled to come out this April. While that’s great news all round, he does throw in a caveat, that it’s really up to Sony when it’s to be released, as he thought it would have been released already.
So there you have it. The epic crossover that boasts no less than 48 characters should be coming to a PlayStation Network near you. Now, while I truly love this game like so many others, I have a feeling that I may be one of a tiny minority who may actually prefer the first game, with its slick stage intros, cooler and prettier 2D animations, and the awesome musical homages to the games the characters came from.
Then again, there’s no Rock in Capcom vs. SNK, nor is there is this, or this. Seriously, why hasn’t Capcom gone back and hired this guy again?
