Still set for PS3, possibly releasing on Xbox One

In a bit of sour news for fans of puzzle platformers, it appears that Namco Bandai, who was handling the Xbox Live Arcade release of 2012’s PC title Vessel, has stopped working on the port. In an email with XBLA Fans, John Krajewski of developer Strange Loop Games said, “Our publisher owns the rights to the XBLA version, and to our knowledge they’ve indeed stopped work on it. [The] PS3 [version] will be coming out soon, though, but we’re planning to announce that later this month. Sad news I know. It’s possible there will be an Xbox One version someday, though.”

It is a bit of a shame that the Xbox 360 version might not see the light of day, but hopefully too many people aren’t excluded from the opportunity to play Vessel. Certainly, the hypothetical Xbox One release would help the title in that regard. Heck, why not shoot for PS4 and Wii U as well?
