I’m having Gangsters: Organized Crime flash backs and I’m just going to roll with it. I hadn’t realized I possessed a craving for a crime strategy game set during US prohibition, but I most certainly know it now. The animation looks pretty awful, the city looks way too clean and empty, but did you see all the menus and goon upgrades? So many I might be in mob boss heaven.

Omerta – City of Gangsters is set during the roaring ’20s in Atlantic City. As an immigrant fresh off the boat, you must work your way up the mob ladder, expanding your influence, bribing politicians, and blowing up buildings. Running your totally legitimate, not-at-all-money-laundering businesses, and ordering your goons is all done in real time. However, when combat crops up, it’s a turn-based affair where cover and stealth are as important as blasting people with your shotgun.

It’s coming out this autumn for PC and Xbox 360. Just let me get my period-appropriate costume ready.
