Geoff Mendicino, probably the single greatest human being since Abraham Lincoln, took a moment out of his busy schedule of rescuing kittens from bears and punching out clones of Hitler to send a tip into the Destructophone about a new-found bit of hackery that allows a person to view the Wii Shop channel with the increasingly common Firefox browser.
While it requires you to install a plugin and follow fifteen seconds worth of instructions, it doesn’t look tremendously complex and should be easy for anyone who has ever solved an algebraic equation, or drawn an accurate picture of a horse.

1. Open Firefox
2. Install the User Agent SwitcherThe previous tech-recipes on the use of this tool is also killer.
3. Click Tools
4. Click User Agent Switcher
5. Click Options -> Options
6. Click User Agents
7. Click Add
8. Description: wii
9. User Agent: Opera/9.00 (Nintendo Wii; U; ; 1038-58; Wii Shop Channel/1.0; en)
10. Click OK X 2
11. Click Tools again
12. Select User Agent Switcher
13. Select wii14. Copy and paste one of these links into firefox and visit it:
