Expanding their video game coverage, I just got sent a press release announcing that MTV has acquired exclusive programming rights to some of ScrewAttack.com’s programming — which is to be added to the GameTrailers lineup. Laguna Beach ScrewAttack ftw?

GameTrailers (GT), a division of Viacom Inc.’s (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B) MTV Networks, today announced the addition of ScrewAttack.com content to its expansive video programming lineup for gamers. ScrewAttack, the online producer of popular, game centric videos such as “The Angry Video Game Nerd” and “Video Game Vault,” will premier exclusive weekly shows on GT beginning Thursday, February 8.  GT delivers an expansive program offering that includes high-quality original editorial, a deep library of publisher-produced game trailers, robust user-generated content, and now – through the partnership with ScrewAttack – premium third party gaming content.

    Entertaining, Fan-Favorite Shows Such as “The Angry Video Game Nerd”
    Expand GT’s Programming Lineup for Gamers

    Santa Monica, Calif. (February 8, 2007) – GameTrailers (GT), a division of Viacom Inc.’s (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B) MTV Networks, today announced the addition of ScrewAttack.com content to its expansive video programming lineup for gamers. ScrewAttack, the online producer of popular, game centric videos such as “The Angry Video Game Nerd” and “Video Game Vault,” will premier exclusive weekly shows on GT beginning Thursday, February 8.  GT delivers an expansive program offering that includes high-quality original editorial, a deep library of publisher-produced game trailers, robust user-generated content, and now – through the partnership with ScrewAttack – premium third party gaming content.

    ScrewAttack produces original and entertaining gaming-related programming such as “The Angry Video Game Nerd,” “The Video Game Vault” and “ScrewAttack’s Top Ten.” The three shows will premier exclusively on GT for seven days and then be available only on GT and ScrewAttack. The GT-ScrewAttack partnership kicks off with “The Top Ten Coolest Video Game Characters” debuting February 8, followed by the “Video game Vault” coverage of the arcade classic Qbert February 9. Finally, “The Angry Video Game Nerd,” already a favorite among gamers generating millions of video views across the Internet and is one of the most subscribed to authors on YouTube, launches his first installment on GT February 15.
