Live-action Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn series begins

The lead-up to Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn has been rather extensive, and now that the big day has finally come for this live-action web series, people are finally able to see if the hype was worth it. For more dedicated fans, I think the response will be a resounding “Yes!” —  but what about the rest of you?

I’m curious to find out. This is the first of five episodes which will concentrate on the events prior to the human and Covenant war from the perspective of cadets at a UNSC military academy, in addition to eventually setting up Halo 4. This installment is viewable in its entirety here as well as on Halo Waypoint.

Hamza says he’s going to avoid watching this stuff until he can see it all in one sitting when the game’s limited edition arrives later next month. As someone who does that with TV series, I can sympathize. This debut obviously has a lot of setting up to do, so I’ll be eager to see where the series goes.
