Mojang is teaming up with the Humble Bundle folks to broadcast a game jam starting this Friday. It’ll be going on all weekend, with a promised 60 hours of live-streaming madness. They would be crazy enough to do this, wouldn’t they?

All donations will go to charity, but if that’s not enough, know that those who contribute will get whatever game is made by the end of this. Over on Mojang’s blog, there are more details about the event and polls to determine the genre and theme of this project.

On the one hand, I think this will be entertaining to participate in for all parties involved, and helping out charitable organizations tends to be a rewarding experience. But all that said, I really don’t want Notch to lose his beard. Can we get an even higher donation milestone for him to keep it?

[Thanks, De5gravity]
