2K is working on a mysterious remake

would they kindly remake Bioshock?

We recently learned via MP1st that 2K is working on a remake of one of their titles. The original report pointed at the LinkedIn page of an employee that reveals that the motion capture animator has been working on a bunch of new titles for the past couple of years.

Mentioned in the lineup are a new Bioshock, a new title in the Mafia series, and the expected 2K25 WWE and NBA 2K25 titles. On top of that, however, the report also notes that 2K may be working on what’s described as an unannounced sports title, and on an unannounced remake.

Bioshock fans are likely to get very hyped by this piece of news. The series has been dormant for a long while, and a remake would help boost the hype levels for the new title, and also prove a great way to celebrate the original Bioshock’s looming 20th anniversary. Still, this remake might be something else entirely. Though Bioshock is arguably one of the most beloved titles of all time, 2K also has other quality titles on their catalogue. For example, I’d be even more down to play a remake of Spec Ops: The Line, a game that primed for its writing but whose merely decent gameplay prevented from reaching greater heights. A remake could definitely fix that, and make bank from all the people who’ve grown to love the original ever since its lukewarm release.

Another title that could probably stand to get a remake is basically any game in the XCOM series. 2K could remake the newer ones or maybe even the classics from back in the ’90s because many people don’t even know are a thing.

You can play get BioShock: The Collection, which features HD remasters of every game in the trilogy, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
