I’ve been playing review code of Ys: The Oath in Felghana these past couple of days. I’m quite pleased. This is a beautifully produced, totally polished action RPG that you can get fully lost in. I think Ys fans and PSP owners will be pleased. It sits at the end of my desk now as I type this, teasing me to come back.
XSEED sends word that the game has gone gold, and will ship on November 2nd. The standard edition of Ys: The Oath in Felghana will be $29.99, and a Limited Collector’s Edition, which includes a soundtrack CD and a 4†x 6†2011 desktop calendar with game artwork, will be available for $39.99 through Amazon.com, GameStop and others. There will also be a digital download, which means I can put it on my PSPgo and use a PS3 controller to play it on my TV.Â
Our review is coming soon, but know now that this re-imagining of the third Ys game is totally decked out with new looks, very nice cutscenes, great voiceovers and some of the best music ever. I’m impressed so far.Â
