XDefiant All-Star Series challenges 16 of the best FPS competitors to compete in teams of four for a cash prize. Ubisoft confirmed that each qualifying round will be broadcast on YouTube before the finals on May 21, coinciding with the title’s official release. The first matchup, featuring Aches and Pacman as team captains, will air on May 8 at 10 AM PT.

Patrick “ACHES” Price is a two-time CoD world champion and a core compLexity and Evil Geniuses dynasty member, which won 13 offline tournaments. In 2022, ACHES joined Ubisoft as a game developer and helped work on XDefiant. Meanwhile, Jonathan “Pacman” Tucker is also a former professional CoD player who had a long-respected career, and went on to coach and manage teams.

Ubisoft wouldn’t reveal the cash prize amount or full rosters, but there are plenty of exciting options for former FPS legends who would be itching to compete again. Based on everything shared during the official release date announcement, Ubisoft plans to support a competitive scene in XDefiant. The title will launch with a Ranked Mode practice playlist to test out 4v4 matches. The devs will release an official version of the game mode after the trial run, which will most likely narrow down the weapon and map pool. It’s unclear if there will be an official league, but in March, Delco Gaming announced an official XDefiant roster.
