Warzone players want movement feature from High Trip Resurgence made permanent

Not your average gummies.

After tasting the gummies in Warzone High Trip Resurgence, players aren’t ready to come down from their high. The latest Call of Duty holiday celebration went over quite well — so well, in fact, there are players asking for some features to remain permanent.

As part of the Blaze Up event celebrating the stoner holiday 4/20, High Trip Resurgence is a new limited-time mode in Warzone where players collect gummies that each have a power-up. Green Boost Grants players a temporary speed boost and negates fall damage, Fill Up awards faster reload speeds, High Focus highlights enemies with a red outline, and Loot Blast offers more loot from crates.

Besides gas surrounding Rebirth Island, the rest of the game mode follows the traditional Resurgence format. The green gummy, in particular, has piqued the interest of Warzone players. CoD content creator Xen Zyro argued that the movement boost provided should be a permanent feature.

“The green gummies in the new LTM mode should be the standard for Warzone. Having unlimited Tac Sprint is an unbelievable difference for game fluidity,” Zyro claimed. The streamer also added that Raven Software has previously tested a similar feature on Fortune’s Keep, so he wouldn’t be surprised if they made it a standard feature.

“Best addition we’ve had in two years,” a second user added. Raven Software has already made strides in attempting to make movement feel more fluid in MW3’s iteration of Warzone. The devs made improve slide distance, ADS while sliding, reloading while sprinting, increased weapon swap speed, and increased climbing and mantling speeds default perks, meaning all players will have these boosts. Additionally, slide cancelling made a return, which allows players to maneuver around their enemies in gunfights.

In saying that, some players want unlimited tactical sprinting to be a permanent feature. Double Time doubles the sprinting duration and decreases refresh time, but there is a noticeable difference when you can run full speed as much as you like. While it wouldn’t be totally out of the realm of possibility some players aren’t convinced that the devs would ever make such a drastic movement change.

“It’s 100 percent never becoming the standard; shame,” a third player posited. For now, all players can do is sit and pray that the devs have a change of heart and decide to make tactical sprinting unlimited in either the Season 3 Reloaded update or in Season 4.
