Silent Hill 2 voice actor Guy Cihi has not had contact with Konami for years. Then, out of the blue, he apparently gets a message for something Silent Hill related. Cihi will be remembered by fans as Silent Hill 2‘s protagonist, James Sunderland. Â Could some sort of remake or cameo appearance be in the works?
“Konami contacted me after years of no-contact,” says Cihi on his Facebook page. “We are discussing issues related to SH2′s continuing popularity. Why now? They either want to re-release SH2 game content, or Sony’s SH2 movie involves James Sunderland. I’ll keep you posted.â€
Horror game website Hell Descent claims to have been privy to the update, though Cihi’s page is private.Â
Considering what a mess (in my opinion) Konami made of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, I’m very wary to see what Konami may be planning my favorite videogame of all time. Could it be a remake? Could Sunderland be appearing in the brand new game? Who knows? Not even Cihi seems to know yet. Very interesting — and suspicious — stuff!
