Rapture in Minecraft is unsurprisingly whimsical

Last night I was working on creating a glass building underwater in Minecraft. During this long and painful process, I got to thinking: “How has no one recreated Rapture using these very cubes?” Oddly enough, the answer to my question appeared this morning.

Someone has been putting together Rapture (and BioShock Infinite‘s Columbia, too), I just didn’t know about it. Attached is an obscenely detailed in-game world crafted on a server that is owned by Ein from the Penny-Arcade forums. It’s overwhelming.

But wait, it gets better yet. The creators have put together a video tour, and let me tell you, they went all out. Part one is attached above, and you can view part two here. Their dedication is astounding, to say the least.

[Thanks, David]
