Tatum has been on the books of the Celtics franchise ever since the organization drafted him, and he has developed from being a prospect to a core piece of the team. After several years of ending short, the SF/PF finally managed to grab a ring for himself and his teammates after a magnificent season. The Celtics star has been joined by a Hall of Fame legend and a superstar from the WNBA as cover stars for different editions of NBA 2K25.

Jayson Tatum is the perfect choice for NBA 2K25 cover

Few NBA superstars have matched the performance and consistency of Jayson Tatum last season. He was in peak form throughout the regular season matches and took it to the next level at the playoffs. Together with Jaylen Brown, Tatum formed an integral relationship, which was key for the Celtics to win the championship.

Tatum will be seen on the covers of the Standard Edition and the All-Star Edition. The All-Star Edition will also have WNBA superstar A’ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces. Few can debate this choice as well, as Wilson has done it all. She has won the WNBA twice and has been voted to the All-Star team six times in her career. After winning the Rookie of the Year in 2018, Wilson has taken her game to the next level, winning MVP twice and MVP of the finals in 2023.

Wilson will be seen on the covers of NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition and WNBA Edition. Finally, the Hall of Fame Edition has nominated Vince Carter to do the honors this year. While Carter never managed to win a ring, his contribution to the league can hardly be disputed.

Vince is the only NBA star to date to have played at least one game across four decades. He has had a glorious career since becoming the Rookie of the Year in 1999. He was voted to the All-Star team on eight occasions and also managed to win the Olympics Gold with Team USA in 2000. The Hall of Fame Edition is the most expensive version of NBA 2K25, but it comes with a host of different goodies, including an annual NBA season pass.
