“Planetary (Go!),†a track from My Chemical Romance’s upcoming album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, will be the lead song for Gran Turismo 5. And seeing as how the album doesn’t drop until November 22nd, the game will likely be the first time MCR fans will hear this new track.

I had a chance to chat with band member Frank Iero, who said that he has spent a bit of time with the game. He called Gran Turismo 5 an “in-depth, beautiful game” that “looks incredible.” He and the band are quite excited about this partnership: “Just as fans of the series we were looking forward to this game, let alone having our song be in it.”

When asked about how their track fits with the game, Iero said that the whole album could be a fit.

“Even when we were writing songs in the studio, when we heard them back we were like ‘man, I just want to drive real fast and listen to this sh*t,'” Iero told Destructoid. “So when we got approached we said that this was perfect. You can listen to these songs while driving really fast, even at home!”

Gran Turismo 5 will be released this holiday season.
