How to get the Velox in Warframe

The time-travelling frame Protea's signature sidearm.

To increase your Mastery level in Warframe, you must consistently get new gear and level it. This includes some of the best gear you can add to your arsenal and the gear you’d love to scrap the second it hits max rank.

It also includes gear that can take plenty of time to grind, but it’s all part of the experience. One such weapon isn’t too difficult to get, thankfully. Here’s how to get the Velox in Warframe.

Where to get the Velox in Warframe

The Velox’s main blueprint is acquired for a small sum of Credits off the Market, which can be accessed through the kiosk on the right side of your Orbiter. Just search Velox, click on it, and purchase the blueprint. Its components are where things get a little more tricky, as they’re acquired through the Granum Void.

To access the Granum Void, you’ll first need to run missions on the Corpus Ship tileset until a Treasurer randomly spawns (denoted by them talking about protecting Parvos Granum’s Crowns over the comms. You’re looking for standard and Exemplar Granum Crowns, which are acquired from killing Treasurers on level 0-15 and level 16-30 missions respectively. Once you have either Crown, look for a golden hand somewhere on the Corpus ships and interact with it, using one of the Crowns.

Using this Crown sends you to the Granum Void, forcing you to fight various enemies with a timer ticking down from one minute. You can acquire more time from certain drops on the enemies in this place. Whether you’re dealing with a standard or Exemplar Granum Crown, your goal is to kill 75 enemies before the timer is up. This will get you a Rotation C reward, which has a chance to be a Velox part. The standard Granum Crown gives you a 22.22% chance to get the Velox Barrel on Rotation C, while the Exemplar Granum Crown gives a 29.63% chance at the Velox Receiver on the same rotation.

Once you have both parts and the blueprint, all you need is some Credits and three Orokin Cells and you’ll be ready to make the Velox. Start the process, wait 24 hours, and the Velox will be yours.

Is the Velox worth getting?

The Velox is an automatic sidearm that sports great Ammo Efficiency, a high fire rate, and a fast reload speed (if you reload from empty). The Ammo Efficiency is increased if you run the weapon on Protea. The community considers the weapon decent even if it isn’t top-of-the-line. If you use it and it feels right to you, building it for Status Chance, Status Effects, and Multishot can send it to the next level.
