How to complete the ‘Where in the System is Archie?’ quest in Destiny 2

Unfortunately this mission requires turning left.

When Into the Light launched, snooping Destiny 2 players noticed a secret Triumph that involved tracking down Ana Bray’s robo dog, Archie. Checking his usual spot found the pooch still there. It turns out we just needed to be patient as the good boy is now missing! Here’s how to complete the “Where in the System is Archie?” quest.

Where to find Ana Bray’s dog in Destiny 2

1. Investigate the paw prints

Upon landing in the Tower’s Annex, you’ll find Archie isn’t in his usual spot and only a set of glowing paw prints remain. A helpful marker will appear and lead you to Ada-1. The armorer has the quest proper and directs you toward the Tower’s ramen shop.

2. The ramen shop

The best ramen shop just so happens to be the only ramen shop in the Tower. Head up the stairs from the Annex and take a left at the seating area in the Bazaar. Violate OSHA regulations and go behind the counter to find another set of paw prints. Investigating them reveals that Archie went to “pay his respects to a famous gunslinger.”

3. Cayde-6 memorial

Since Shin Malphur is still wandering around the system, the famous gunslinger in question must be Cayde-6. The exo’s memorial is next to the Ironwood Tree adjacent to Commander Zavala’s brooding ledge. Sure enough, there’s another set of paw prints indicating Archie went to “salute a feathered friend.”

4. Colonel’s coop

We’re just going to ignore that Colonel is already by the memorial and go to the Hangar. In front of Amanda Holliday’s former workbench will be another stall with a sparrow (the hoverbike, not the bird) and more paw prints. These prints point to the air ducts in the Hangar.

5. Security office

Archie’s final hiding spot is a little trickier to find. Those who have been around for a while might remember when the hidden Daito room was all the rage. Those who don’t, allow me to introduce you to the Tower’s secret club room.

  • Take the stairs up past where Xur likes to hang out on his visits.
  • Follow the catwalk to the roof of the former FWC room and hop over the railing onto the small ledge.
  • Look back towards the main area of the Tower and you’ll spot another catwalk. Jump over there and head into the ducts.
  • Once you’re in the Daito room, turn around and go down the hallway not yet explored.
  • Drop down into the duct ahead and pop up into the next room to find the wayward pooch.

Back to Ada-1

It’s time to head back to where it all, kind of, began. Talk to Ada-1 in the Annex to complete the quest and the secret Triumph. For your troubles, you’ll receive the Blue Steel Shader and an Expired Ramen Coupon.

I’ll be honest, I teared up a little bit when I saw the coupon. The original Expired Ramen Coupon was a gift from Cayde-6 to our Guardian as part of his “will.” Bungie took it from us, much like our Used Toothbrush, and gave an emblem in its stead. Now, it’s back in our inventory, where it will stay forever.
