How to access the Ascension mission type in Warframe

Ascend to some sweet rewards.

Warframe’s Jade Shadows update brings with it a ton of new stuff, including a surprisingly emotional new cinematic quest. It even brings a bunch of quality of life, such as showing which planets you’ve completed all nodes on at a glance.

One of the newest additions is a new mission type, though how you access it can be a little confusing at first. Here’s how to access the Ascension mission type in Warframe.

How to get into the new Ascension mission in Warframe

To access the new Ascension mission, you first want to complete the main quest Jade Shadows. This quest requires you to have completed the New War quest, so you’ll need to progress the story until you’ve done that before you can consider the new mission type. Once you complete Jade Shadows, a new variant of the node Brutus, Uranus should appear, letting you play Ascension. This is a 40-50 level mission, so be sure to bring some good gear along with you.

The Ascension mission begins with a Mobile Defense portion where you must defend a Mote Collector, before moving to a constantly rising elevator. This elevator must be powered up using power cells located in each of the side rooms within the elevator shaft. Once you reach the top and deal with the spawning Sisters of Parvos, the mission will be complete. You’ll also receive Vestigial and Volatile Motes, which can be spent at Ordis in Larunda Relay.

As it stands, Digital Extremes has yet to confirm if the Ascension mode will come to other nodes (or receive its own node). It may be similar to Mirror Defense where it’s kept very limited and may receive a new node rarely if the situation arises.
