Well you know tonight is the birthday of the crazy game collector dude. As you know, he just reach a milestone in game collecting. Funk just reach to his 1500 game.

Even though Funk has everything, Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack makes great presents for Funk. Especially this one, because Funk hasn't go his hands on it.




Well guess I'll be playing Aion instead.

Blazblue CS Tourney is now live. On the setup I am using the same tournament software as Nilcam did. The Blazblue tourney follows a double elimation rule setup. It doesn't accept a 12 man setup but a 16 man setup will do.

This tournament will run for about till probably the end of September. I'd like to finish this as soon as possible because its really close to the school semesters. I will also be handing out prize for whoever reaches first place or 2nd (If i got frst).

The prizes is Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for the wii, Katamary Damacy for PS2 and Bangai O for DS. Although the prize aren't that great. Its better not nothing.

Blazblue Continuum Shift Tourney


Due to the release of Blazblue Continuum Shift, I am hosting Fight club ranbat for BBCS from Nilcam's recommendation. The ranbat runs exactly the same as the previous fight club ranbats. There's also very minor prizes for winning.

Rules

1. All matches will be best 2 of 3 games

2. All characters are legal except for Unlimited Characters. If your opponent uses a Unlimited Character they are automatically Disqualified. (* Names are Highlighted in Pink during match determines if they are unlimited).

3. Each round will be 1 week but if all games are finished before the week is out.

4. The tournament will be double elimination.

5. Lesson learned from the other ranbats: Entrants must add all players to their friends list prior to the tournament. Too many matches were held up by friend requests. The bracket will be updated daily and it is the player's responsibility to track all pertinent information. "I thought I was out" and "They haven't answered my friend request" are not valid excuses.

6. Post your name and PSN ID in this thread to register. I want the registration deadline to be at August 8 and have the tourney start at August 9. The reason for not starting the tourney instantly, as there's is a balance patch coming at August 5th and with Makoto is added for DLC.


7. All information is to be posted in this thread, including match results and updates.

Training Advice
===========
Recommended for new players. Tutorial mode on medium lessons provide great lessons on the gameplay system of the game and is extremely useful for first time players. The new challenge mode provides excellent combo tutorial that can be used pretty effectively on battle ( The later combos are a bit too complicated to use effectively on battle) . I also recommend hoping in Friday Night Fights its perfect place to hone your skills. The Host of Blazblue is run by Jack of no trades (PSN JackofNoTrades85 ) and have been consistently on every Blazblue FNF.

You can also message me when ever I am on and i can provide matchs and minor lessons to improve your play. Although I can't connect to players using an american version Blazblue CS at the moment, since the Japanese version still haven't receive the 1.01 Update. If it doesn't work I am buying an US version just to play with you guys.



The score is based on the Super Street Fighter IV ranbat. First place gets 35 Points with each place after gets 1 point lower. If you are using using the new characters such as Hazama, Tsubaki , Mu -12 and Makoto. You will get an additional 5 points as long as you play more then 50% of your matches with them.

Anyways just joking actually I am just writing my impression on Sin and Punishment 2 because its fucking amazing beyond words, and just want people to try the game once it's release on america.
The game doesn't start with any cool intro or anything like that. So anyways after the title screen the game lets us choose the protagonist to play with Isa (Boy) or Kachi (Girl). I end up using Kachi.



Story begins with your space ship being malfunction and a group of invaders and come attack your ship, and the bad guy wants the Kachi (girl) for some reason.

The first stage starts with a tutorial on controls while you're shooting everything in your path.
Controls in this game is totally top notch, it's pretty much switching the N64 controls into the wii controls, and it works perfect for this game.

A Button is for Lock on shot (Like Taito's Ray (Raystorm, Raycrisis etc) series)

Also I end up trying the game on 2 players too, it sorta works like Lucky & Wild , where the first player have to move and shoot , while the 2nd player just having only a cursor and shoot.



The new feature in this game is the float option, i think its awesome addition to the game makes all the movement feel less limited. The game have a score mulitpler just like the original where it goes as you shoot more enemies, and only goes down when taken a hit.

Spoilers on Stage Design.

I thought the stage design is amazing, each landscape is totally different from the last, and the gameplay just make it totally intense.

And Spoilers for the stages for the first 5 stages

Stage 0 - Just inside your ship, nothing special.
Stage 1 - Ruin city (Most of the trailers are focus on this place)
Stage 2 - Water Stage - Kinda like shooting everything in an aquarium (Totally sweet Stage)
Stage 3 - Into a sky castle then to factory. (Really Difficult stage)
Stage 4 - Starts in Haunted Forest then into a grassfield that looks like the original S&P first stage.

I actually found the game to be a perfect balance of difficulty so far, its mostly trial and error. Because I simply got my ass handed down to me with a lot of the bosses, but manage to come back and learn their patterns and destory them.

But at least you know if you ever get a game over, the game lets you start back at the check point so it not punishing for beginners.

I would say this one of the best 3rd party titles on the wii, I can say from the first 3 stages , the game already out does the original S &P in many places (And defineity one Treasures better games). I highly recommend anyone not to pass your chance on playing this game. Well I am stilling going to laugh at the people that are missing this title.
