The rumors of a Halo game once being made for the Nintendo DS were true, but the game was inexplicably cancelled.

I can't help but think that it was due to Nintendo's insistence to force Bungie to create the game for a more casual, abstract-oriented audience. Had the product ever been finished, the above image is what I visualize would have purportedly occurred: Master Chief casually cooking up some Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait's for his Covenant and Flood friends.

From the get-go, I thought I had a flawless way to pinch some pennies in the wake of both GH III's and Rock Band's close releases:

Game = $59.99
Drums = $79.99
Guitar = Free, via Guitar Hero
Mic = Free, use your 360 headset

Suddenly it ain't so costly, running me a much smaller price of $140, compared to the rumored $200. Now that the news has hit, is it really worthwhile to skip out on $30 for another (better) guitar, as well as an official mic?
