I'm a 22 year old college student that's two years away from completing a major in Journalism and a minor in Multimedia Communications (think broadcasting/tv/radio!). Ideally, I'd like to work as an editor within the realm of gaming journalism. To help make that become a reality, I'm working with a primarily student-run organization called GameZombie.tv. I'm a PR representative and social media helpee, but I consider myself most at home amongst the writing team. This team manages to make living in a cornfield tolerable!
As far as my interest in gaming is concerned...When I was a toddler, a very generous aunt gave an NES to my brothers and I for Christmas. Once I figured out how to steer Mario clear of chasms, I was hooked. I've been enjoying games and exploring the gaming industry ever since then. I'm a sucker for new ideas and am more than willing to overlook a game's flaws if there's something new to be experienced within it. Beyond realistic sports simulations, the games I spend time with span across all the genres I can even think of. I don't loyally follow publishers or console manufacturers, but I do follow development studios or developers that I've enjoyed the work of.
I do hope to get my name out there with my gaming accounts, but my interest in staying up-to-date and involved stems from my enthusiasm for the gaming industry and its community more than anything else. The people within this industry have crafted some of the most enjoyable entertainment I've come across, and I see no sign of that changing within the coming years.
