When you create a coach in Dynasty mode, you have to choose your Adaptive AI preference. Before you make a choice, it’s essential to understand how it works and why you should pay attention to this particular setting. Let’s take a look at how this innovative system operates, its origin, and which setting you should use.

What is Adaptive AI in College Football 25?

In the game, you’re not going to always come up against human opponents, especially in the Dynasty mode. While you can play with your friends, many may choose to go for a solo experience. The Adaptive AI is a setting makes the overall gameplay a lot more dynamic, by changing how the AI adapts to you.

Interestingly, this system isn’t new to College Football 25, as it was featured last year in Madden NFL 24. In simple words, the AI learns your play patterns and tries to break the chain.

If you’re trying to run the same plays on every run, chances are the AI will readjust itself and make changes to its action patterns, much like a human opponent would. When EA Sports briefed about this feature for Madden NFL 24, the goal was offering more exciting and unexpected gameplay patterns to gamers. The objective here seems to be the same.

From the settings, you can choose between three options: Aggressive, Balanced, and Conservative. I would always opt for Aggressive, regardless of which difficulty you play the game on.

It’s no secret that playing against AI can become repetitive. This is true for every sports game, and College Football 25 is no different. Using Aggressive Adaptive AI makes the AI-controlled opponents feel a lot more dynamic, and they tend to react a lot better to your decisions.

If you feel that the AI is becoming too much of a challenge, you can always reduce the difficulty. There are four settings to pick from – Freshman, Varsity, All-American, and Heisman. Instead of running a Balanced AI with Heisman, a combination of Aggressive with Heisman could be a lot more fun. Irrespective of difficulty, I would always go with Aggressive Adaptive AI when setting up my College Football 25 Dynasty Mode save.
